Yes. You decide who sees your coursework. No employer, no advertiser, and no AI company sees it unless you choose to share it — and your work is never used to train AI. There are no ads on the platform, no advertising trackers, and NewU Institute does not sell your data.
Three groups, and only three:
Nobody else sees your work. Not other learners. Not advertisers. Not data brokers.
Your work does leave your screen — it has to, to be graded. Here is exactly where it goes, and what each place receives:
An employer can verify your Certificate for free, in seconds, at any time. If you grant them access, they can see the grades and courses behind it. They cannot see your photo, your address, your phone number, or any coursework you did not share. And when you revoke the grant, their access ends.
Privacy here does not mean anonymity. The platform asks for your legal name, date of birth, address, phone, and a recovery email, plus a photo — because a credential is only worth something if the work provably belongs to one real person. That is what the photo is for: proving the work is yours. It is locked once confirmed, and it is never shared with employers.
What it does not ask for is a government ID. Your identity, your avatar — no government ID required.
Can I delete my coursework?
You can ask for your off-chain data — your account and coursework records — to be deleted at any time. The blockchain anchors cannot be deleted: they are hashes only, they do not identify you, and their permanence is what makes the credential verifiable.
Does the AI that grades my work learn from it?
No. The grading AI does not train on your submissions, and it does not keep them after grading.
Can another learner see my grades?
No. Your grades and coursework are visible only to you, to the people who grade and check them, and to an employer you grant access to.

Your education is private by design: you control who sees your work, it is never sold, never shown to advertisers, and never used to train AI. What is public is only the proof — a hash on a blockchain that says the work was done and graded, without saying who you are beyond the record you chose to share.
